About

Dragon was a fast-paced, action-packed multiplayer shooter designed to host massive live-event worlds and deliver an intensely chaotic gameplay experience. The project ultimately set a Guinness World Record with 2,197 concurrent players on a single server.

Role

Technical Game Designer

Responsibilties

  • Sole owner of the scalable weapons and classes system, delivering it end-to-end for large-scale multiplayer gameplay.

  • Coordinated with audio and art to ensure weapon effects were visually cohesive and tightly synced.

  • Partnered with engineering to architect a solution capable of supporting thousands of concurrent players.

  • Solved complex networking and gameplay challenges to ensure reliable, large-scale weapon behaviour.

  • Collaborated with design leadership and the client to define and refine system requirements and functionality.

  • Designed and implemented the Medals system, later integrated into the ODK’s Badges feature.

  • Worked with the UX Director to ensure UI elements aligned with new weapons and classes functionality.
